Introduction
Have you read The Invisible Guardian? If Inspector Amaia Salazar hooked you from the very first page, this guided tour takes you to the real settings of the Baztán Trilogy in Elizondo, the Navarrese village where Dolores Redondo set the story.
It has been run since 2013 by the guides of El Guardián Invisible, who put the route together with the help of the author herself. That's why the walk shows you Elizondo through the eyes of Dolores Redondo and Amaia, through the streets, corners and landscapes that inspired the novels and their films, with the village's history and curiosities in the background.
The tour has two parts. The first is a walk through the village, and the second heads out to Elizondo cemetery and other settings from the books. You can do just the first part or carry on to the end on the same tour.
If you've read The Invisible Guardian, The Legacy of the Bones and Offering to the Storm, you can't miss this route.
How it works
It's a guided walking tour of Elizondo, about three hours long in two parts, starting from the door of the Bar Casino in the Plaza de los Fueros. You need to book in advance, using the form on their website, by phone or by email, and you pay on the day, in cash or by Bizum.
