Introduction
If you've read Dracula, you've surely wondered at some point how much truth lies behind the most famous count in literature. On this Dracula's Castle route you'll find out and, what's more, you'll get to know two other must-see places in the region: Sinaia Monastery and Peles Castle.
The trip leaves by minibus from the Modarom Building in Brasov for Sinaia, in the mountainous part of Wallachia. There you'll visit its monastery and then take a guided tour of Peles Castle, the palace that King Carol I of Romania had built at the end of the 19th century.
And to finish, the highlight: Bran Castle, better known as Dracula's Castle, where you'll discover the legends of Vlad III and why he ended up linked to Bram Stoker's novel. We hope you don't have nightmares afterwards!
How it works
