Introduction
Girona Cathedral was the Great Sept of Baelor, and its medieval streets became Braavos and King's Landing. This free tour takes you to the locations where Game of Thrones, the series based on George R. R. Martin's novels, was filmed, while you discover anecdotes from the shoot and the history of the city.
The route starts at the Romanesque church of Sant Pere de Galligants, where Samwell Tarly enters the library of Oldtown, and continues in Plaça dels Jurats, the Braavos theatre where Arya Stark finds out what has become of her family. From the Arab Baths onwards, you'll follow the thread of Arya's adventures in Braavos.
Next you'll reach King's Landing: the facade and the steps of the Cathedral of Santa María, turned into the Sept of Baelor. Round the back you'll see the corner where Arya begged when she was blind, and in the Jewish Quarter you'll relive the chase with the Waif.
How it works
It's a free walking tour of Girona's old town: it starts in Plaza Sant Feliu and ends in Plaça de la Independència. Although all the places are visited, the order may change. At the end, you decide how much to tip the guide.
